Cognism Changelog

See what we've been building

New features, integrations and fixes, added as they ship.

August 2026

Selective field-level CRM data import

Customers no longer have to import their entire CRM. During setup, or later via Edit Configuration, they choose between importing all fields in one click or an advanced option where they hand-pick exactly which fields are shared with Cognism. Fields required for matching, such as email and name, are pre-selected, and the selection can be changed at any time. Only imported fields are available for Enrich filtering and opt-out configuration. Available for Salesforce and HubSpot.

July 2026

Slovakia Do Not Call (DNC) coverage

Cognism now screens against Slovakia's national Do Not Call registry. Once enabled in settings, phone numbers on the Slovak DNC list are flagged and hidden so reps do not dial opted-out numbers.

CRM Opt-Out Sync general availability

CRM Opt-Out Sync is now self-serve on Sales Companion for both Salesforce and HubSpot. Opt-outs and suppressions are pulled from the CRM and suppressed everywhere in the platform, including search, lists and the Chrome Extension. Admins connect the CRM, choose the field used to flag opt-outs and enable Data Import; suppression then runs continuously with the CRM as the source of truth.

Company settings page

A new Company page under Settings giving admins more control over their organisation's setup. Admins can edit the company domain, which is the input that powers Smart Personas, intent and technographic recommendations, and is often missing on migrated accounts because it was never enforced on legacy. They can also edit the workspace name and see account credit consumption alongside their current package.

Adoption Dashboard for admins

A new adoption dashboard in Sales Companion showing admins and managers how teams are actually using the platform. Covers licence utilisation split by admin and sales users, activity on core actions such as search, export and company assignment, an export breakdown by application, source and type, and Chrome Extension installation. Supports custom date ranges and team-level segmentation for comparison. Available to Pro customers only.

Cognism CRM Enrichment general availability

CRM Enrichment moved out of open beta and became generally available for Salesforce, covering lead, account and contact enrichment. Rather than a one-off cleanup, it keeps records accurate and reachable on an ongoing basis, with RevOps controls including field-level permissions and a choice between overwriting existing values or only filling blanks. A CRM Health Dashboard shows the state of the data. Salesforce only at launch.

Personas, User and Team Management moved into Workspace Settings

Personas, User Management and Team Management have moved out of the main sidebar and into Workspace Settings, separating day-to-day prospecting from admin and configuration tasks. Navigation only; no change to how any of these features work.

In-app Opt-Out List

Contacts a rep has interacted with who later opt out of Cognism are now surfaced inside Sales Companion under settings, on a rolling 90-day window. Previously this was only visible through the compliance API, so reps could keep contacting people who had withdrawn consent. Both reps and admins see the list, so outreach can be stopped proactively.

June 2026

CSV domain upload limit raised to 1,000 rows

Following user feedback, the maximum number of rows accepted in a CSV domain upload was increased to 1,000.

Net New Contacts filter

Search results can be filtered to contacts that have never been touched anywhere in the account. Built on the credit system, it excludes any contact already redeemed through a list add, an export or a reveal in the Chrome Extension. It works independently of CRM sync, so teams without a CRM get a genuine net-new signal, and HubSpot or Salesforce filters can be layered on top.

Technology filter with estimated renewal dates

The technology filter has been rebuilt and now includes estimated renewal dates for the technologies a company uses. Users pick target technologies, whether complementary or competitive, and their book of business is prioritised by estimated renewal date so the best-timed opportunities surface first.

Find Contacts from a company search

Contact discovery can now be started directly from a company search, currently for the companies selected on the current page. This supports a full account-based prospecting motion inside Sales Companion.

Intent column in search results

Trending intent topics now appear directly in the search table view. Hovering over a company shows the insight, including the geography the signal is coming from and the type of trend, without opening the company record.

May 2026

Intent filter: geographic segmentation and topic threshold

The intent filter now shows where inside an organisation the intent signal is coming from, so users can narrow to a specific country and set a minimum topic threshold. This makes it possible to act on intent at the relevant team or region rather than at whole-company level.

Company Upload with one-to-one matching

Customers can upload their own company list and get clean, exact matches back, rather than a broad keyword search returning thousands of loose results (searching 'Apple' previously returned around 4,800 companies). This removes the previous blocks on uploading account lists and makes it possible to exclude specific companies from a TAM search.

Company acquisition events filter

Search can now identify companies that have recently been through an acquisition, so teams can time outreach around that change.

Bulk include and exclude uploads

Users can upload a list to include or exclude specific company names, domains or job titles in bulk, instead of adding them to a search one at a time.

Keyword filter for company search

Company searches in Sales Companion can now be narrowed using specific keywords, giving more precise targeting than the standard firmographic filters alone.

HubSpot two-way sync in Sales Companion

Real-time bidirectional syncing between HubSpot and Sales Companion, keeping records consistent across both systems rather than pushing data one way.

April 2026

Credit usage Dashboard with custom date range filters

Credit dashboard shows credit consumptions on account, team and user level

February 2026

CRM Opt-Out Sync in controlled testing (Prospector, Salesforce)

First release of CRM Opt-Out Sync, made available on request to Prospector customers using Salesforce. Opted-out records are pulled from Salesforce into Cognism and suppressed from search results, so reps only see safe-to-contact records and manual CSV suppression lists are no longer needed. Data Import had to be enabled on the account.

HubSpot two-way sync (Prospector)

A native two-way integration between HubSpot and Prospector, replacing batch uploads and CSV workflows. Existing HubSpot records update in real time, an 'In CRM' indicator prevents duplicate creation, and contacts and companies are aligned automatically. Field mapping and export rules are configurable for RevOps control. Customers had to log out and back in to HubSpot to activate the sync.

January 2026

Norway Do Not Call (DNC) coverage

Do Not Call screening now covers Norway across both Prospector and Sales Companion. Admins enable Norway DNC in settings, after which contact details for individuals on the Norwegian national register are hidden from sales users.

November 2025

More accurate company revenue data

A significant overhaul of firmographic revenue. Revenue attributes for 20.7 million companies were ingested, increasing overall revenue coverage by 1.4 million companies. A new merging engine now compares sources, weighs recency and prioritises verified signals so the same value appears consistently across search, profiles and exports.

October 2025

French and German language support

Cognism is now available in French and German. This covers the interface and navigation, filters, tooltips and prompts, and AI outputs such as Smart Personas and research summaries. Each user sets their own language, and the choice carries across the web app and the Chrome Extension automatically. Underlying data is not translated.

Italy Do Not Call (DNC) coverage

Sales Companion now screens against Italy's national Do Not Call register. Once an admin enables Italy DNC in settings, sales users can no longer see contact details for individuals registered on that list.

September 2025

Upcoming company events in Research

Research in the Chrome Extension now surfaces upcoming events for a company, giving reps a timely reason to reach out without leaving the extension.

Insight pop-ups when no intent or technographic signal is found

In the Chrome Extension, 'No Intent' and 'No Technographics' were being read as missing data or a bug. Explanatory pop-ups now appear instead, confirming there is simply no current intent surge or detected technology for the chosen topics, and framing that absence as a potential opening rather than a gap.

August 2025

Smart Personas

Users describe what a business sells and Cognism generates the key job titles they should be targeting, removing the need to build personas by hand. New Sales Companion users get their first three personas created automatically so they can start prospecting straight away.

Additional mobile numbers available on profiles

Contact profile now shows up to two extra mobile numbers that are held for a contact, revealed with a single click. Also includes a visual refresh of how DNC status is displayed.

Extra mobile numbers surfaced by Diamond Verify (Prospector)

When a Diamond Verify request is made in Prospector and we hold additional mobile numbers for that contact, those numbers are now added to the contact profile even if the contact could not be upgraded to a Diamond. The requester gets an 'improved data' notification, and numbers usually appear 1-2 days after the request. Any numbers added are visible to all customers.

Cognism Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) launched

A new way to buy Cognism data outside the platform, aimed at customers with advanced data needs: enriching millions of records at scale, feeding their own AI models, or running a custom data pipeline. Sold as always-on, compliance-first data access rather than seat-based platform use.

Enterprise-grade compliance and security

Cognism is built for organisations operating in regulated markets, with compliance-first data practices and independently audited controls.
