Cognism Makes Latka 250 Fastest Growing SaaS Company List

Written by Joe Barron | Feb 8, 2021 11:20:16 AM

We're delighted to announce that Cognism has been named by bestselling author and tech podcast host Nathan Latka as one of the fastest-growing SaaS companies globally.

Since 2015, we’ve raised $28.9 million to grow faster and build out our 216 person team to better serve you. Today over 1k customers use our tools and many of them have upgraded to our new product offerings, giving us a very low customer churn rate. Thank you!

As we’ve grown, our CEO James Isilay has spent time sharing our growth story with podcast host Nathan Latka. The show has passed 13m downloads and our profile has been viewed over 30,000 times. You can listen to the last podcast here: https://getlatka.com/companies/cognism.

In addition to the podcast, each year Latka publishes the Latka 250 - a list of the fastest growing SaaS companies. This year, 5,091 companies applied and just 5% made the list. Cognism was in that 5%.

We’re thrilled to share that we grew 42.86% between Dec 2019 and Dec 2020 and look forward to growing another 100%+ this year with new product offerings.

Coming this year: intent data

2021 will be the year that intent data, among other new exciting features, arrives on the Cognism platform.

B2B intent data is data regarding business web users’ observed behaviour, specifically online content consumption. It provides insights into their interests and from this, indicates the intent to take an action - to purchase a product, for instance.

We’ve partnered with Bombora, the world’s leading provider of high quality, consent-based intent data. Their proprietary Company Surge® methodology monitors spikes in content consumption on a given topic or topics across 4k highly trafficked B2B research sites.

What are the benefits of intent data?

By adding intent data to our platform, we empower B2B organisations to improve lead quality, increase conversion rates and prioritise their hottest leads.

Intent data will provide the following benefits to Cognism’s sales and marketing clients:

  • Build targeted matched audiences on LinkedIn.
  • Get in front of potential customers earlier in the buying process.
  • Prioritise leads, so you can reach the hottest leads who are showing intent to purchase.
  • Personalise your campaigns based on the topics leads are searching for.
  • Identify when customers start looking for different solutions, enabling you to reduce churn.

Cognism’s intent data

Intent data, in combination with Cognism’s globally compliant B2B database, will enable our users to:

  • Find accounts who are searching for a specific solution.
  • Enrich the company information to qualify them faster.
  • Identify decision-makers in those companies and outreach to them.

The end goal? A faster, smoother B2B sales process.

We will be releasing more information about our intent data later this quarter. Stay tuned!

How the Latka 250 rankings work

Nathan Latka sold his SaaS company in 2015 before launching his SaaS CEO Podcast and database at GetLatka.com. Each year he gets revenue growth figures from SaaS CEOs and confirms the revenue via email with the CEO. The rankings take December 2019 monthly recurring revenue annualized (multiply by 12) and compare to revenue 1 month ago (December 2020).

The companies are then split into three buckets since it’s easier to grow a $1m company 300% compared to a $10m company. The three categories are $1m-$10m, $10m-$20m, and $20m-100m.

In total, the top 250 companies do $8.5 billion in revenue, service 2.2 million customers, and have raised a total of $12 billion dollars.

You can see a digital version of the top 250 SaaS companies here and find the deeper story on our growth in the March issue of Latka Magazine.

Thanks to all of you for helping us land a spot in the Latka 250 for 2020. We look forward to another 6 years of helping you build your businesses!
