Cognism has completed its first surveillance audit against ISO/IEC 27001:2022 (ISMS – Information Security Management System) and ISO 27701 (PIMS – Privacy Information Management System).
Cognism has held ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certification for several years now, and the standard itself hasn't changed. What's new is that the certification is now issued by British Assessment Bureau (part of Amtivo Group), a UKAS-accredited certification body.
That means Cognism's ISMS and PIMS are now assessed and certified by a body that is itself independently accredited by UKAS, the UK's national accreditation body.
UKAS accreditation applies to the certification body, not to Cognism directly. It means the British Assessment Bureau's assessment of Cognism's ISMS and PIMS has itself been independently checked against internationally recognised criteria, under the IAF multilateral recognition arrangement.
For customers and those interested in using Cognism data, that's an extra layer of confidence in the certificate itself: the assessment behind it was carried out by a certifier whose own competence is independently verified, not just by Cognism's chosen auditor.
For Data and Legal stakeholders evaluating Cognism as a vendor, it's a documented answer to a question that comes up in most reviews: how does Cognism manage information security and privacy risk, and who checked the checker?
The certification covers the protection of information assets and the management of information security and privacy risks across Cognism's systems, processes, and personnel for its Sales Intelligence Platforms and its core business operations.

This certification will be maintained through annual surveillance audits, with the next review planned for 2027. Customers and prospects can view or request both certificates at any time via the Cognism Trust Centre.
