How to add video chat links to email signatures (Apple/Gmail/Outlook)

Adding a video chat link to your Mac Mail signature 👇

Let’s kick things off with a tutorial on adding your video chat link to your Mac Mail signature. This tutorial is designed for users on Apple laptops and desktops 

Simple

  1. Open video chat app and find link. 
  2. Click on “Mail” icon.
  3. Hit “Mail” at top of screen.
  4. Open “Preferences”. 
  5. Hit “Signatures” tab.
  6. Either click on “+” icon or select premade signature. 
  7. Type “My…Link” under signature. 
  8. Highlight text and click “Edit”.
  9. Hit “Add Link”. 
  10. Copy and paste video chat link.

  1. Open your video chat app (e.g.) Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype. 
  2. Find your video chat link. 
  3. Copy and paste your link - we recommend you open a sticky note on your Macbook or Desktop so it’s ready. 
  4. Click on the “Mail” icon at the bottom of the screen. 
  5. Hit the “Mail” tab in the top-right corner of the screen. 
  6. Open “Preferences” from the drop-down menu. 
  7. From the row of options, click on the “Signatures” tab. 
  8. Click on the “+” icon to add a new signature, or select a pre-made signature . 
  9. Below the contents of your signature in the text-box, write out “My Zoom Link”/”My Skype Link”/”My Microsoft Teams Link”.
  10. Highlight the text and then click “Edit”. 
  11. Hit “Add Link”. 
  12. Copy and paste your video chat link. 
  13. Click “OK”. 
  14. You can then close the “Signatures” tab and “Preferences” menu. 
  15. Open the “Mail” app -  a signature option will appear. 
  16. Select the new email signature with the video chat link.

No problem - here’s our easy tutorial.

This tutorial is designed for Gmail desktop users. 

Simple

  1. Open video chat app and find link. 
  2. Log in to Gmail. 
  3. Click  “⚙”.
  4. Open “Settings”.
  5. Scroll down to “Signature”. 
  6. Type out signature or paste from generator
  7. Type “My…Link” under signature. 
  8. Highlight text and click “Link” icon in toolbar. 
  9. Paste video chat link.
  10. Scroll down and hit “Save Changes”.

Detailed

  1. Open your video chat app (e.g.) Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype. 
  2. Find your video chat link. 
  3. Copy and paste your link - we recommend you open a sticky note on your Macbook or Desktop so it’s ready. 
  4. Log in to your Gmail account. 
  5. Click on “⚙” and open “Settings”.
  6. Click on “General” and scroll down until you get to “Signature”. 
  7. Either click “Create New” under the “No Signatures” section or click on a signature you’ve already created. 
  8. Once the signature is set up, a text box will appear where you can make changes. 
  9. Under the contents of your signature, write out “My Zoom Link”/”My Skype Link”/”My Microsoft Teams Link”.
  10. Then highlight the text and click on the “Link” icon in the toolbar. 
  11. Copy and paste the video chat link into the link field. 
  12. Click “OK”. 
  13. Scroll down and hit “Save Changes”.

Adding a video chat link to your Outlook email signature 👇

And last but not least…

Here’s the tutorial for adding a video chat link to Outlook on Office 365 and the Outlook Web app. 

Simple

  1. Open video chat app and find link. 
  2. Open “Outlook”.
  3. Hit “Settings”.
  4. Type “Signature” in search box. 
  5. Open “Signature Editor” tool.
  6. Type out signature in text box or paste from generator. 
  7. Type “My…Link” under signature. 
  8. Highlight text and hit “Hyperlink” icon. 
  9. Paste video chat link. 
  10. Hit “Save”. 
  11. Close “Signature Editor”.

  1. Open your video chat app (e.g.) Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype. 
  2. Find your video chat link. 
  3. Copy and paste your link - we recommend you open a sticky note on your Macbook or Desktop so it’s ready. 
  4. Launch the “Outlook Web App” or “Outlook” from “Office 365”. 
  5. Click on the “Settings” icon in top right-hand corner of screen. 
  6. Type “Signature” in the search box. 
  7. “Email Signature” will appear as an option -  select it. The “Signature Editor” tool will open automatically. 
  8. Click the boxes next to: “Automatically include my signature on new emails I compose” and “Automatically include my signature on new emails I forward or reply to”. This’ll make sure your email signature with the video chat link will appear on every email you’ll send. 
  9. Type out your signature in the text box or paste from a generator tool
  10. Under the contents of your signature, write out “My Zoom Link”/”My Skype Link”/”My Microsoft Teams Link”.
  11. Then highlight the text and click on the “Hyperlink” icon in the toolbar. 
  12. Paste your video chat link, and then click “Save”. 
  13. You can now close the “Email Signature Editor”, and open a new draft email. Your new email signature with a video chat link will appear.
